History

The Riverview Arts Centre came to life in 2006 by founders Peter Brzezicki along with Ivan & Vivian Hicks. Peter developed the technical side to the theatre while Ivan was appointed to be President of the Board of Directors. Soon after, the founders recruited volunteer Brad Lane to take over the operations of the theatre.

Since then, the Riverview Arts Centre has been bringing audiences together by participation, education, and affordable opportunities driven by our community, board of directors, staff, and volunteers. The unique aspect of the theatre is the education The Riverview Arts Centre gives. Our devotion to fostering arts and literacy within our youth connects school audiences and main stream professionals. With this, all forms of art are vitalized to new audiences to experience both the creation and final product of artistic expression.
